June 12 Committee Meeting
Present: John Reinhardt, Kevin Hanson, John Bertrand
Notes:
*Cubanapolis is scheduled for Saturday morning, June 28 at St. Eds. Both John Reinhardt and Kevin Hanson will be out of town that day. John Bertrand volunteered to help run the Cubanapolis, provided that he gets some help from people who have actually seen a Cubanapolis. If John can’t get help running the Cubanapolis then we will probably cancel it.

Action Items:

*If you have any cub scouts who have not yet paid their dues, please follow up with them.
*Please encourage the parents in your den to volunteer to help with the pack. We desperately need volunteers to help with fall fund raising and fall recruitment.
*Please return any extra books and scarves from the May campfire to John R. He will return them to the Scout Shop to get a refund.

*Check with Allison to see if she wants to help out with recruitment again this year
*Draft an e-mail asking for volunteers for fall recruitment and fall fund raising

May 8 Committee Meeting

Notes:
*The family campout is May 16, 17, and 18 at Cleary Lake Regional Park. The pack meeting will be a bonfire at Cleary on Saturday, May 17 at 7:00. Tigers will do the flag ceremony, and all dens will give skits. Families are welcome to camp out one night, both nights, or just attend the campfire and/or the Saturday afternoon activities.
*The deadline for rank advancement (i.e. earning the Tiger for 1st graders, Wolf for 2nd graders and Bear for 3rd graders) is the end of the school year. Please work with your den and your parents to make sure that as many boys as possible earn their rank advancement!
*The (postponed) Normandale Lake cleanup will be either Saturday, May 31 or Sunday, June 1. We are still working this out.
*Summer pack meetings/events include:
   6/28 – Cubanapolis. St. Eds.
   7/19 – Picnic with raingutter regatta. Location TBD
   8/14 – Space Derby. St. Eds

April 10 Committee Meeting

Notes:
Scouting for Food pickup is Saturday morning, April 26. Each den is responsible for coordinating its own bag distribution and pickup. Leon will leave his pickup truck (Rettman’s Lawn Service) at St. Eds from 9:00 to 11:00. Put all collected food in the truck. Mark Mills (832-9494) is our Scouting for Food coordinator.

The April pack meeting will be on Saturday, April 26 at 7:00 at Sumac Knoll campsite at Hyland Lake Park Reserve. The pack meeting will include a bonfire and the Arrow of Light ceremony for Webelos 2. Den assignments are: W1-setup, Flag-Wolf, Skit-All, Security-Bear, Cleanup-Bear
Normandale Lake cleanup is Sunday, April 27 at 2:00. Meet at Normandale Hylands Methodist Church (on the west side of Normandale, a little south of Lunds). Bring work gloves.

March 13 Committee Meeting

Minutes
The March pack meeting will be on Thursday, March 27.
John Bertrand and Leon Rettmann will lead the pack meeting.
Den assignments are: Bear-setup, W1-flag, Bear-skit, Tiger-Security, Wolf-Cleanup
The pack meeting theme is recycling
Each den should try to have something that they did that is somehow related to recycling—the boys will share during the pack meeting.

The weekend of April 26-27 is going to be busy:
. Scouting for Food is the morning of Saturday, April 26 
. The campfire pack meeting and Arrow of Light ceremony will be Saturday, April 26 at 7:00pm at the Sumac Knoll campsite at Hyland Park Lake Reserve 
. The Normandale Lake cleanup will be Sunday, April 27 in the afternoon

Day camp is July 14-15 at Moir park. We still need a day camp coordinator!

The Friends of Scouting fundraising during the Blue and Gold banquet was a huge success! We made our goal and will receive free advancement badges from the council for one year. Good job, David!

January 11 Committee Meeting
 
Great job on the attendance at this meeting—we improved 250% from the December meeting!

The April pack meeting was changed from April 19 to April 26. It will still be in the evening at Sumac Knoll.

The pinewood derby race (Friday, Jan 25) will be at Southwood School gym at 4901 W. 112th St. (This was the only open site we could find for this date). The weigh- in on Thursday, Jan. 24 will still be at Olson.

Dues will be collected at the pinewood derby and at the Blue and Gold banquet. They need to be turned in by the end of February, since the money is due to the council in March.

If you are a den leader, you should have completed den leader training by now! In case you haven’t, the next training session is Saturday, Jan. 12 at Christ the King Church in Bloomington.

. We will be collecting gifts for Cornerstone at the November pack meeting. All gifts should be unwrapped, since the kids at Cornerstone select presents to give to their siblings and mothers.

Den Duties for Oct. pack meeting: (Tiger setup, Wolf Flag, Bear Skit, W1 security, W2 cleanup)
The theme for October pack meetings is “On the farm”. There will be a variety of theme activities at the pack meeting.
The Pack 461 pinewood derby will be held in January instead of March (the district pinewood derby is now scheduled for March). We are exploring having weigh-in on Thursday, Jan. 24 and the pinewood derby on Friday, Jan. 25.
Pack 461 will host the district pinewood derby on Saturday, March 15

September 13 Committee Meeting

Meeting Minutes:
The proposed 2007-2008 budget was approved. The total budget is $4,757, which is about $95.00 per boy.
A boy account / pack split of 60/40 was approved for fund raising. After a boy raises $95.00 in profits through fund raising, 60% of all further profit go to that boy’s account while 40% goes to the pack treasury.
