SCOUTING FOR FOOD 2009

This year we're teaming up with Boy Scout Troop 446 and we're taking a page from their successful past drives by conducting the food drive on a single day.  This year, instead of dropping bags off with residents in advance and then picking up donations the following week, we're going to meet up with the boy scouts on 4/25, and then go door to door with Pack 461 boys and leaders grouped together with Troop 446 boys and leaders. Troop 446 has found they collect more food doing it in a single step so we're going to try it. When we meet up we'll supply maps, directions and group the boy scouts with our cub scouts.

WHO:     All availble scouts, adult volunteers and scout leaders

WHEN:   Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 a.m.

WHERE: Meet at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 11000 France Avenue South, Bloomington, 55431

WHAT TO BRING:   Be there with comfortable walking shoes, water and boundless enthusiasm! Scouts wear uniforms.

We'll collect donations as we go and then drop off the donations at VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People).

VEAP is located at 9728 Irving Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55431

Questions?  Call Mark Mills, (612) 387-5465
