Religious Emblems for Cub Scouts and Parents
To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs. Check with your local council service center or contact the religious organization directly to obtain the curriculum booklets.

I wanted to let you all know, and to pass on that the schedules for all 4 levels of the God and Country Religious Emblem are up and ready at sollc.org under family ministries.
The first one being offered is the God and Family Program for grades 4-5. The new God and Family curriculum is designed to help youth understand the importance of family and God’s role in a healthy family. The God and Family Program provides an opportunity for young people and their families to explore their faith together.
Children will compare families and “pizza.” The six steps for making pizza will be compared to God’s plan for strengthening families. The pizza theme is meant to give students a concrete, “hands-on” model on which to build their understanding of God’s love for their families. They will make a pizza as they study how families can grow together in God’s love.

Please pass this on to your units, friends, churches, etc. Also, anyone can work on and receive these awards, they are not just for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. As well as, if a date does not work out for someone, the instructors are very easy and understand, normally there is no problem. Also, if someone is interested in the God and Family that starts on Sept 30, and can't make it..it is ok, have them contact me at mwang@owatonnasavagetravel.com
Also, if your church is running a religious emblem program, please pass this on to me so we can help fill those classes as well!
Thank you to everyone for passing this on to your units!!
